On 19 August 2026, our Partner, Chia Oh Sheng, spoke on the panel “Beyond Due Diligence: Bridging Forensic Accounting, Corporate Finance and Law in Business Transactions” at the Baker Tilly Insolvency & Restructuring Symposium 2026, alongside H.Y. Chong (Azman Davidson & Co) and Liew Kim Yuen (Baker Tilly), moderated by Ding Su Lynn (Baker Tilly). The panel explored how forensic accounting, corporate finance and legal strategy intersect in complex business transactions, particularly where distressed circumstances may affect deal value, recovery prospects and litigation risk.

Our Andrew Chiew, Chairperson of the Malaysian Bar’s Insolvency Committee, also delivered the Closing Remarks together with Malaysian Bar President Anand Raj, bringing the day’s programme to a close.
