Eo Shao DongBanking and Financial Services

Shao Dong works with Partners, Tay Weng Hwee and Bella Chu, handling financial transactions and advising companies and financial institutions on a broad spectrum of financing matters. Her practice primarily involves the preparation of transaction documents and security documentation in respect of both conventional and Islamic financing. She also advises clients on various aspects of financing transactions, including issues related to collaterals, and collaborates closely with land authorities, regulators, in-house as well as foreign counsels in completing financing transactions.

She also advises on real estate transactions and is a co-author of the Malaysian Chapter in Lexology Getting the Deal Through – Real Estate 2023. She has experience in debt capital market, including the issuance of Sukuk under the lodge and launch framework.

Shao Dong read law at the University of Nottingham. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2019 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.

Harvey Ng Yih XiangCorporate & Commercial Disputes | Technology, Media & Telecommunications

Harvey works closely with Partner G. Vijay Kumar. His practice encompasses a broad range of corporate and commercial disputes, with a particular focus on litigation involving telecommunications infrastructure, software development, and contractual disputes.

He also provides legal advice on issues arising throughout the software development lifecycle and advises on compliance and regulatory matters under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Zhen Ning works with Consultant, Dato’ Nitin Nadkarni, and Partner, Crystal Wong Wai Chin. His practice spans all forms of international and domestic dispute resolution, often involving high value contentious matters within the construction and energy sectors. His matters arise from major projects, including highways, railways, skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, power plants, retail malls, and mixed-use developments.

Zhen Ning has experience in various dispute resolution processes including arbitration, adjudication, and litigation. He has also acted as counsel and assisted in various arbitration-related court matters concerning interim measures and challenges to arbitral awards.

Thivya ManokaranCorporate | Mergers & Acquisitions | Real Estate

Thivya works with Partners, Tay Weng Hwee and Bella Chu, managing high-value M&A and real estate transactions. Her practice focuses on corporate advisory matters, general commercial transactions, and conducting comprehensive due diligence exercises. Thivya has also assisted in the preparation of transactional documents for a wide array of deals. In addition, she has substantial experience advising domestic and international clients on licensing and regulatory matters across diverse industries, including manufacturing, insurance, plantation, and pharmaceuticals.

Recognised as a “Rising Star” for Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific in 2024, Thivya has been commended by clients noting her as a “personable professional who goes above and beyond to ensure that clients obtain the results that they want”. Tiffany Low Jia QiDispute Resolution | Regulatory & Compliance

Tiffany works closely with Partner, Hoi Jack S’ng, focusing on civil and commercial disputes. She has experience assisting a variety of clients, including financial institutions, liquidators, multinational corporations, companies, and individuals, in addressing legal challenges. Her fluency in both spoken and written Chinese, as well as proficiency in Korean, has been instrumental in connecting with clients from diverse backgrounds.

She has contributed to legal publications, including Bullen & Leake & Jacob’s Malaysian Precedents of Pleadings (2023) and The Malaysian Civil Procedure (2024), both published by Sweet & Maxwell. Tiffany remains dedicated to her professional development and continues to provide practical legal solutions for her clients.

Tiffany read law at the University of the West of England, Bristol. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2019 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2021.
