Andrew Chang Weng Shan – Corporate & Commercial Dispute Resolution | Banking & Insolvency and Shipping
Andrew has a broad practice spanning contentious and non-contentious matters across various industries, including plantation, oil & gas, banking, investment holding, property development, construction, insolvency & restructuring, healthcare, telecommunications, technology and shipping. His work encompasses breach of directors’ duties, contractual and tortious disputes, construction and strata property disputes, as well as insolvency and restructuring matters, and he is also involved in commercial arbitration. He has represented clients in legal matters at all levels of the Malaysian courts.
Beyond his legal practice, Andrew is a contributor to the Malaysian Civil Procedure and Restructuring and Insolvency: A Commentary, a Thomson Reuters publication, and often co-authors articles published by the firm.

Arissa Ahrom – Cyber Data Privacy | Employment and Industrial Relations
With a focus on data privacy and employment law, Arissa helps clients in various industries navigate the intersection between personal data privacy obligations and employment practices, particularly in data protection and security compliance, and risk management. She also has significant employment experience in handling both contentious matters, involving unfair dismissal claims and trade disputes in all levels of the Malaysian courts, as well as non-contentious matters where she provides strategic advice across all stages of the employment lifecycle.
Arissa is a co-author of A Practical Guide to Personal Data Protection and contributes to a number of practitioner guides. She also regularly speaks and conducts training on her areas of practice.
Recognised as a key lawyer by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2024, Arissa is praised for being “communicative and efficient.”
Arissa holds a law degree from Queen’s University of Belfast. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2017 before being admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in November 2018.
Lee Wan Xin – Corporate | Capital Markets
Wan Xin’s work spans a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial law, with a distinct focus on equity and debt capital markets. Wan Xin regularly leads the team in advising on initial public offerings, secondary offerings, related party transactions, and compliance with continuing listing requirements. She is adept at overseeing legal due diligence and drafting transaction and disclosure documents. Wan Xin’s debt capital markets experience encompasses structuring and issuance of medium-term notes, commercial papers, and sukuk under both conventional and syariah principles. Her ability to navigate complex transactions demonstrates her versatility and comprehensive understanding of Malaysia’s capital markets landscape.
Wan Xin advises clients across a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, property development, plantation, food and beverage, hospitality, financial institution, and real estate investment trusts. Her collaborative approach with other advisers on capital market projects ensures tailored advice and practical solutions, helping clients achieve their business objectives.
Wan Xin holds a law degree from the University of Bristol and completed the Certificate in Legal Practice. She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.
Wong Han Wey – Banking & Insolvency | Civil & Commercial Litigation
Focusing on high-value debt recovery and lender liability disputes, Han Wey works closely with the nation’s top financial institutions on issues involving Islamic finance, securities enforcement, and guarantees. He also advises on insolvency matters such as liquidation, corporate restructuring and receivership, and often handles fraud and fiduciary disputes, representing both corporations and government-linked entities.
He has contributed to leading practitioner guides, such as the Malaysian Civil Procedure (White Book), and has co-authored articles for the firm’s Banking & Insolvency team.
Han Wey holds a law degree from the University of Leeds. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017 before being admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.
