Senior Associate Chris Toh Pei Roo, will be speaking with the Buletin FM on the Program Fokus Pagi bersama Izwan Azir & Muaz. The program is scheduled to take place at 8.00 – 8.45am MYT and will discuss topical issues relating to the Budget, including, whether GST will make a return, and possible opportunities and challenges for Malaysian businesses in the coming year.
Chris represents and advises taxpayers in all aspects of tax law. He is particularly well experienced in judicial review, having represented and advised leading multinational corporations, charitable bodies, listed companies and prominent individuals in challenging decisions by the Inland Revenue, Customs and the Ministry of Finance in a wide spectrum of tax disputes. He has also acted for taxpayers in tax appeals, defending civil recovery proceedings, and resisting applications by the Inland Revenue under the Companies Act.

Partner Ivy Ling Yieng Ping, will be speaking with CityPLUS FM to give her immediate impressions of Budget 2023, after its announcement on this Friday. The session will also be broadcasted live on Facebook. CITYPlus FM is a Chinese business radio station catered primarily for Chinese-speaking PMEBs and SMEs in Malaysia.
Ivy’s area of practice focuses on indirect tax advisory and litigation, including sales and service tax (SST), goods and services tax (GST) as well as imports, exports and excise duties that involve the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (Customs). Ivy represents and advises a vast array of clients, ranging from multinational corporations, manufacturers, property developers, construction companies and utility companies to GLCs and financial institutions.

Senior Associate Chris Toh Pei Roo, will be speaking with Pocketimes Sinchew at a session titled: “In times of high inflation, how would Budget 2023 affect you and me?”. This session will be conducted live at Sinchew’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya and will also feature other speakers from the Asia Business Centre, the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, and the Centre for Research and Technological Excellence (CREATE).
