Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill is delighted to announce that our Construction and International Arbitration Partners, Darshendev Singh and Crystal Wong Wai Chin, will be speaking at the biennial Asia ADR Summit 2024 | Beyond Boundaries: The Rise of Asia in Global Dispute Resolution, jointly organised by the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC) Hyderabad, and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). The summit will take place on the 26th and 27th of July 2024 at Bangunan Sulaiman, Kuala Lumpur.

Darshendev’s session is scheduled for the second day, from 1:30PM to 2:30PM, where he will discuss “Exploring the Underrepresented Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Early Neutral Assessment, Dispute Board, Expert Determination, Ombudsmen”. This session will highlight their unique advantages and challenges, offering innovative solutions to complex disputes and assessing Asia’s readiness to integrate these mechanisms into legal and business frameworks. Following this, Crystal’s session will be from 4:00PM to 5:00PM, on “Oxford Style Debate: AI as the Future of Arbitration?”. In this debate, Crystal will be opposing the motion and submitting that AI will not replace human arbitrators.

The Asia ADR Summit serves as a premier platform to unite ADR practitioners across Asia, highlighting the region’s pivotal role in global dispute resolution. With Asia’s significant population and GDP, this summit showcases how the continent leads in dispute resolution advancements, exploring new avenues for swift and efficient dispute resolution and paving the way for a harmonious and just global society.
