It is with great sadness that Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill informs you of the passing of our Partner, Ang Hean Leng, on 22 December 2019.

Hean Leng joined the firm in 2012, and was made a Partner soon thereafter. He had an active dispute resolution practice, with focus on corporate, commercial and civil litigation, as well as media and defamation laws. Hean Leng also had a special interest in the environment, and worked hard to enhance the development of laws in this area.

As some of you may be aware, Hean Leng has been battling cancer for some time. However, being the litigator that he is, he fought courageously until the end. He continued with his work, displaying the same level of passion towards the law and all matters that he handled, despite the challenges he was facing. He reminded those who worked with him to carry on a positive attitude when facing obstacles, and to persevere with a positive mindset. On one occasion, he attended court for the trial of a defamation matter which was scheduled on the very next day after a chemotherapy session. The matter turned out to be his final case, one which he sealed with a victory.
